Definitions
Clients
This is anyone who signs up on GastGo to find a professional in the hair and beauty industry. Clients are required to sign up to GastGo and provide minimum personal information before they are able to view GastGo Professionals and services being offered.
Professionals
These are individual independent professionals in the hair and beauty industry. All professionals must sign up as a client first and provide their basic information before they proceed to sign up as a professional. GastGo has to interview and take all professionals through a vetting process before their profile is activated and visible to the public. GastGo has the rights to remove any professional from the platform if they do not comply with GastGo’s Code of Conduct.
Service
Service means the https://gastgo.com website and the GastGo mobile applications operated by GastGo in all the countries we operate from which is United Kingdom and United States.
Personal Data
Personal Data means data about the individual who can be identified from those data (or from those and other information either in our possession or likely to come into our possession).
Usage Data
Usage Data is data collected from the user (both client and professional) when signing up on GastGo as a client to find and book services on the app or signing up as a professional to provide services to clients.
Cookies
Cookies are small pieces of data stored on your device (computer, tablet or mobile device).
Part 1 - Information We Collection
We collect different types of information from clients when they update GastGo or signing up for the first time so we can verify the user and avoid spam or false information.
We also share the information with the payment platform Stripe only when users decide to enter their payment methods. This information is encrypted and the data is used to verify your payment method. Please visit https://stripe.com/privacy#personal-data-we-collect for more information.
When you sign up to GastGo, we will ask you to provide us with certain personal identifiable information that can be used to contact or identify you (“Personal Data”). Personal identifiable information includes, but is not limited to:
First name and last name
This information is required when signing up as a client so that we can use it when booking and paying for services with a professional. The same information is collected when signing up as a professional so that GastGo can verify your identity during the vetting process before professional’s profile is activated and able to receive bookings from clients.

Email address
GastGo requires you to provide your email address and we will send you a verification email to confirm the information provided is correct. We will use your email in the future to confirm bookings, a cancellation and send you receipts for all the services paid for on GastGo.
Client’s email address is also used and shared with Stripe to identify and verify your payment methods. This information is also used to provide clients with a receipt for booked services. Please click here to read more about the type of data we share with Stripe.
Telephone number
GastGo requires you to provide you with your telephone number. GastGo uses your number to communicate with you via text when you book a service. The telephone number is also used to call back clients and professionals when they request a to be called back from GastGo Support using GastGo Messenger, email or other GastGo social media platforms.
Your telephone number is also collected when you enter your payment method and shared with our payment partner Stripe. This information is used to verify your payment method. Please click here to read more about the type of data we share with Stripe on the payment platform.
We may use your Personal Data to contact you with newsletters, marketing or promotional materials and other information that may be of interest to you. You may opt out of receiving any, or all, of these communications from us by following the unsubscribe link or instructions provided in any email we send.
Usage Data
We may also collect information that your browser sends whenever you visit our Service or when you access the Service by or through a mobile device (“Usage Data”).
This Usage Data may include information such as your computer’s Internet Protocol address (e.g. IP address), browser type, browser version, the pages of our Service that you visit, the time and date of your visit, the time spent on those pages, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.
When you access the Service by or through a mobile device, this Usage Data may include information such as the type of mobile device you use, your mobile device unique ID, the IP address of your mobile device, your mobile operating system, the type of mobile Internet browser you use, unique device identifiers and other diagnostic data.
Location Data
We currently use location data to provide you with accurate distance from your location to the nearest professional. We only use the data when you open the app. We do not collect information of your location when you close GastGo. The location is updated every time you open GastGo so we can provide you with the nearest professional. GastGo does not record or access your location in the background or for any other purpose. You can enable or disable location services when you use GastGo at any time, through your device settings.
Tracking Cookies Data
We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track the activity on our Service and hold certain information for internal use and key performance indicator. We do not sale or share this information with any external organization.
Cookies are files with small amount of data which may include an anonymous unique identifier. Cookies are sent to your browser from a website and stored on your device. Tracking technologies also used are beacons, tags, and scripts to collect and track information and to improve and analyses our Service.

- To notify you of new and existing professional and clients in your area

You have the right to object to our processing of your Personal Data.

Behavioural Remarketing
GastGo uses its own content and content provided by GastGo Professionals to market to new users. GastGo may use other content but will make sure it adheres to the copyrights regulations. GastGo will provide GastGo professional’s profile link to the content provided by the professional and direct users to the professional’s GastGo profile.
GastGo may use the same material to market the app using various methods such as the GastGo’s website, social media platforms, search engines, television adverts or/and physical traditional billboard adverts.
Payments
All services booked on GastGo are required to be paid up to 24 hours in advance to create a level of commitment between the professional and the client. In that case, we use Stripe, a third-party service for payment processing.
We will not store or collect your payment card details. That information is provided directly to our third-party payment processors whose use of your personal information is governed by their Privacy Policy. These payment processors adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. Stripe
Payment processing services for Service Providers on GastGo are provided by Stripe and are subject to the Stripe Connected Account Agreement, which includes the Stripe Terms of Service (collectively, the “Stripe Services Agreement”). By agreeing to [this agreement / these terms / etc.] or continuing to operate as a Service Provider on GastGo, you agree to be bound by the Stripe Services Agreement, as the same may be modified by Stripe from time to time.
Stripe will require you to provide information such as full name, telephone number, email address, payment card including the CVC number and the card registered address. As a condition of GastGo enabling payment processing services through Stripe, you agree to provide GastGo accurate and complete information about you, and you authorize GastGo to share it and transaction information related to your use of the payment processing services provided by Stripe. Children’s Privacy
Our Service does not address anyone under the age of 18 (“Children”). We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18. Any accounts reported to GastGo for users under the age of 18 will be deactivated with immediately and the user data will be deleted from our database after we inform them of the reasons. GastGo may ask the user to prove their age if they request to remain active on the platform.
If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your Children has provided us with Personal Data, please contact us immediately. If we become aware that we have collected Personal Data from children without verification of parental consent, we will take steps to remove that information from our servers.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page. We will let you know via email and/or a prominent notice on our Service, prior to the change becoming effective and update the “effective date” at the top of this Privacy Policy. We will also notify our users via other social media platforms whenever we made changes to our privacy policies. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Recipients
We do not work with third-party companies outside GastGo and therefore we do not share your data with anyone unless we are required by law. We do not sell your personal information.
The personal data of clients is only disclosed to the professional when they engage with a service on GastGo. In such a case, the professional will only see the client’s name as entered on their profile and their profile picture if the client has uploaded the picture. We do not share client’s telephone number, email address, location or any personal data with GastGo Professional.
All feedback given by clients to professionals and vice versa is only visible to clients and professionals but not to anyone who hasn’t signed up on GastGo. GastGo has reserves the rights to review all feedback and deactivate clients or professional’s profile if they do not meet GastGo’s Code of Conduct.
In some circumstances we might be legally obliged to share information with external recipients governed by the UK or US Government. For example, under a Court Order or where we cooperate with a data protection supervisory authority in handling complaints or investigations. We can also respond to requests, such as those from law enforcement agencies, when we have a good-faith belief that the response is required by law in that jurisdiction or furthers a public interest task, affects users in that jurisdiction, and is consistent with internationally recognised standards. In any scenario, we’ll always satisfy ourselves that we have a lawful basis on which to share the information, and we’ll make sure that we document our decision.
